Dive in the famous Kelly Tarlton's SEALIFE Aquarium in Auckland and meet New Zealand sharks!

After the experience, Kelly Tarlton's SEALIFE Aquarium introduce you to the incredible wildlife that lives in New Zealand. From Penguins to giant stingrays, sharks, turtles and other marine animals, meet the aquatic animals of the world and be amazed by the diversity of species on display.

  • Available: every day except Wednesday (except in exceptional circumstances)
  • Duration: variable
  • Aquarium opening hours: 9:30am – 5:00pm
  • To take part in this activity simply present your booking voucher to the local tour operator
  • For safety reasons you should wait at least 24 hours after your dive before flying.
  • The Shark Dive session takes place at 10:00am. You should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booked session.
  • There are two Shark Cage dive sessions : 1:00pm and 3:00pm. You should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booked session.
  • Dive sessions will have a maximum of 6 people
  • You must be at least 1.30m tall and aged over 18 years to swim with the sharks.  All persons aged under 18 may take part in the Shark Cage if accompanied by an adult, and if they have signed parental/ guardian consent to participate in this activity
  • Entry to the Auckland Aquarium is free for children under 3
  • Pregnant women are not allowed to take part in this activity
  • Persons aged under 18 years may participate in the Shark Cage. However, they must be accompanied by an adult and must have have signed parental consent to participate in this activity
  • When making your booking you will be asked to choose one of the following options:
    • Shark Dive: Using full dive equipment provided cage free dive with the sharks for an amazing adrenalin packed experience - thrills guaranteed! The preparation and dive lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
    • Shark Cage: using the mask and snorkel provided, get close to the sharks from inside a protective cage which allows you to admire these ocean predators close up. The experience takes approximately 1 hour - 15 minutes spent snorkelling in the cage
