Enjoy a unique experience on board a small plane and fly over the region’s must-see sites for 2 hours!
After being picked up from your hotel near Ayers Rock, you will head to the region’s small airport. You will then take to the skies for two hours, on board a small tourist plane. Take in the aerial views of the following sites:
- Ayers Rock (Uluru): fly over this immense sandstone inselberg which rises up nearly 350 metres over the plains. This is a sacred location for the local Aborigine population.
- The Olga Mountains: also known as Kata Tjuta, the Olgas are a range of exactly 36 domes (inselbergs). This spectacular site is one not to miss!
- Lake Amadeus: this is an immense salt lake that is sometimes completely dry and can be as big as 150 kilometres long and 20 kilometres wide. It is located to the north of Ayers Rock.
- Kings Canyon: the highlight of the tour! You will finally fly over Kings Canyon, or Watarrka National Park, an impressive canyon located a few hundred kilometres to the north of Ayers Rock.
