You'll leave Cape Town in the late morning for Aquila Private Game Reserve, around two hours' drive away. You'll take the N1 road through the spectacular Hex River valley, known for its mountainous landscapes and vineyards.
On arrival at the private reserve, you'll discover a rich and unspoilt natural environment, home to many of Africa's iconic species. You'll set off on a 4x4 vehicle safari accompanied by a professional ranger guide, in search of the animals of the savannah.
The reserve is populated by giraffes, zebras, springboks, ostriches, baboons, antelopes, caracals, jackals, and even leopards. Birdwatchers will also appreciate the 172 species of birds recorded in the reserve, including the black eagle.
After your safari, you'll enjoy lunch served at the reserve's lodge in a relaxing natural setting, before heading back to Cape Town.
