Beschreibung

Take a small-group excursion from Lisbon to visit the Pena National Palace and hike in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park!

You'll meet your guide in downtown Lisbon and board an air-conditioned minibus. You'll head for Sintra, a small town nestled in the Sintra Mountains, which welcomes tourists and locals alike to discover the famous Pena National Palace.

You'll follow your guide to the Pena National Palace and its 200-hectare park, located at the top of one of Sintra's mountains. The Pena National Palace is renowned for its flamboyant yellow and red colors and Neo-Romanesque architecture.

You'll pass through the palace's Moorish gateway into a garden of exotic trees. Your guide will take you on a tour of the Pena National Palace, which in the 19th century was one of the main residences of the Portuguese royal family. From the palace's windows, you'll enjoy panoramic views of Sintra's UNESCO-listed cultural landscape.

Return to Sintra and discover its picturesque streets and traditional shops. You'll have the chance to sample the travesseiros pastries and the local cheese, queijadas de Sintra.

At around 11:30 a.m., you'll climb back on board the minibus and drive through the Portuguese countryside for around half an hour until you reach Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point on the European continent. After a brief explanation of this emblematic site, you'll set off for a 5-kilometer hike along the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, in the Sintra - Cascais Natural Park. Your hike ends on the Praia da Adraga beach.

You'll be driven back to downtown Lisbon after a day of discovery.
