Set off on a cruise on the River Mersey and on a bus tour of Liverpool so that you can enjoy the best views the city has to offer!

Sail on the Mersey, the river that crosses Liverpool, and discover its docks, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over the course of your cruise, a commentary will reveal all about the history of Liverpool and the Mersey.

Discover the history of dazzle camouflage as you climb aboard the Snowdrop, an extravagantly decorated ferry in homage to this camouflage technique from the First World War.

Once you have got to know the docks, set off to explore the city on board a double-decker bus. It serves Liverpool’s main places of interest, including Chinatown, the museum district, Liverpool Cathedral...

You can get on and off as you please at the 12 available stops as you explore the city at your own pace.

  • Ferry times: 10am–4pm during the week and Saturday and Sunday from November to March. 10am–6pm Saturday and Sunday from April to October
  • Bus times: variable. Between 10am and 4:30pm depending on the time of year (see document above)
  • Duration: 2 hrs. approx. (without stopping time)
  • Departure point: Liverpool Pier Head
  • Languages (commentary on the ferry and bus): English
  • Leaflet languages on the ferry: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese
  • It is your choice whether to start with the cruise or with the bus tour
  • A ferry departs from each terminal approximately every hour
  • Buses stop at each of the stops on the route every 30 minutes (see document below)
  • The cruise on board the camouflaged boat Snowdrop is available most days, but the schedule is subject to change
  • The cruise is accessible to people in a wheelchair
  • The bus is accessible for people in wheelchairs who can fold their wheelchair and climb the two steps to get on the bus
