You'll travel by bus from Madrid to El Escurial which is 50 km from the Spanish capital. After admiring the region's beautiful scenery during the bus trip, you'll visit the El Escurial monastery and its enormous estate built during the 16th century. You'll have the opportunity to see different highlights including:

Follow the path from El Escorial to the Valley of the Fallen in the Cuelgamuros Valley in the heart of the Guadarrama mountains.

This impressive monument was built in memory of the victims of the Spanish Civil War. From there you'll be able to admire the famous basilica crowned by an enormous cross around 150 metres high!
