Discover two of the most important sites in Mexico: The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadelupe and the Pyramids of Toetihuacan!
Your tour will start at Tlatelolco, the largest archaeological site in central Mexico City. This site is just a stone's throw from the "Plaza of the Three Cultures" where pre-Columbian, colonial and contemporary cultures meet.
You will then go to the Basilica of Guadalupe where the miraculous image of the Virgin of Guadalupe is kept. You will have an hour of free time to visit the interior of the Basilica, and you will understand the spiritual and cultural importance of this place considered the most important religious site in Mexico. It is even the most visited Catholic site in the world after the Vatican City!
On the way, your guide will take you to a local restaurant where you will enjoy a lunch break of about 45 minutes.
Finally, you will reach the famous Pyramids of Teotihuacan, which are more than 2,000 years old and are among the largest pyramids in Mesoamerica! You will visit the entire archaeological site, known as the "city of the gods". Identified as the largest city in all of pre-Columbian America in the 500s, Teotihuacan contains wonders such as the temples of Quetzalpapalotl, the gigantic pyramids of the Sun and the Moon and the Alley of the Dead. You will have free time to continue visiting the site on your own or take a break in the surroundings of the site.
Your day will end with the discovery of two sites that are essential to Mexican culture.
