Guided Tour of Moscow on the Theme of Communism

Discover Moscow’s past under the communist regime on this guided walking tour of the Russian capital!

For more than 70 years, Moscow was the capital of a vast Soviet empire. You will explore the locations and monuments that have marked the history of the communist regime.

Over the course of your walking tour, you will see the most significant remains of Moscow’s Soviet past, including the KGB headquarters at Lubyanka, the USSR’s main intelligence service.

You will then head on to the Solovetsky memorial, a result of the Solovki labour camp, built to commemorate the victims of the regime.

You can then admire the Bolshoi Theatre, which became famous under Stalin’s government for its ballet productions. Then, head to the Gulag Museum, which exhibits the history of forced labour camps (admission not included).

You will then walk along Tverskaya Street, the longest and most expensive street in Russia. Your tour will end at the biggest grocery store under the USSR, the Eliseevsky Gastronom.
