Departing from Prague, set off to discover the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov and visit the historic centre and castle!
You will meet your guide in the centre of Prague, and after a brief introduction you will board a bus bound for Cesky Krumlov (approx. 2h30 journey). Cesky Krumlov is a medieval town in South Bohemia, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic centre and castle.
On arrival, you will follow your guide through the cobbled streets of Cesky Krumlov and discover the town and its Renaissance and Baroque architecture, as well as the many noble houses. During the guided tour, you will see Cesky Krumlov's Concord Square, the Town Hall, the Plague Column and the Church of St Vitus.
You will then have free time for lunch in a typical restaurant in the city to sample Bohemian specialities, or if you have brought your own picnic, consider enjoying it on the banks of the Vltava.
In the afternoon, you will join your guide again, who will take you to Český Krumlov Castle (entrance fee not included), which is the second largest castle in the Czech Republic. You will visit each room of the castle, all of which consist of works of art, antique furniture, tapestries and ornate weapons. You will also visit the castle gardens.
You will be driven back to Prague after a day trip to Cesky Krumlov, a must-see when visiting the Czech Republic.
