Discover the geysers of El Tatio in Chile's Andes Mountains and stroll through the village of Machuca at sunrise!
Before sunrise and accompanied by your guide, you'll set off from your hotel in the direction of the El Tatio geyser field, located north of San Pedro de Atacama. Along the way, you'll admire the magnificent snow-covered landscapes and volcanoes of the Andes mountains. After a 2-hour drive, you'll arrive at El Tatio. This geyser field, 4267 metres above sea level, exists thanks to the activity of magma beneath the earth, which heats a natural water reserve.
You'll arrive just as the sun is rising, giving this natural phenomenon its magical character. Every morning, the geysers wake up and expel boiling water at high speed, with the most powerful geysers reaching heights of up to 50 meters. You'll enjoy 2 hours to walk among these geysers and take photos before enjoying breakfast amidst these unique landscapes.
You'll then head back towards the Machuca village and Putana. You'll have an hour's free time to wander between the houses of these typical Chilean villages. You will then be driven back to San Pedro de Atacama city center.
