You'll meet your guide and the group in downtown Taipei in the early morning, and after a short bus ride, you'll take the cable car up to Maokong, a region renowned for its tea production, from where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. Following the trails of Maokong, you'll plunge into the world of tea with a visit to the Taipei Tea Promotion Center, dedicated to local varieties such as Tieguanyin and Baozhong.
Your exploration will continue with the discovery of the landscapes of Thousand Island Lake and the Bagua tea plantations. You'll then visit the Pinglin Tea Museum to discover the history, as well as the cultivation and harvesting methods of Taiwanese tea.
At the end of the day, you'll taste local teas with a "sommelier" who will introduce you to tea brewing techniques, for a total immersion in this traditional art that has been perpetuated for years.
