Set off to discover Verona, a city steeped in the story of Romeo and Juliet!
You'll take the train from Venice for a day trip to Verona, an authentic city surrounded by a large valley and the Adige river.
You'll have the opportunity to stroll through Verona's narrow streets, passing the city's must-see landmarks: the Piazza delle Erbe with its village feel and the Torre dei Lamberti (tower) at 84 metres high, the Porta dei Borsar (once the main entrance to the city), then you will explore the historic city centre with Verona arena and the Piazza Bra. Throughout your visit, you'll come across vestiges of the Renaissance, as well as medieval and Romanesque styles of architecture that are still very much present in the town. You won't want to miss Juliet's famous balcony, reminiscent of Shakespeare's work.
At the end of the tour, you can continue to stroll around the city freely, stopping near the Pietra Bridge or walk along the river and through the colourful streets to take some lovely photos before heading back to Venice.
